Audioboom advertising advertising: how its ads work

Audioboom advertising advertising uses two main routes. The dynamic marketplace carries dynamically inserted, targetable marketplace campaigns. Audioboom's Premium Network emphasizes live reads and host endorsements from selected creators, while Podcast Pros gives established podcasts and independent networks access to premium options. Availability does not guarantee demand or revenue.
Audioboom sells hosting to creators and advertising access to buyers, then connects some creator inventory with campaigns. Each layer has different eligibility and formats, plus its own controls and commercial terms.
Audioboom advertising advertising has two ad routes
Audioboom's advertiser page presents Premium Network and its dynamic marketplace as separate products.
| Route | Audioboom's description | What creators should confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Dynamic marketplace | Global marketplace using dynamic ad insertion and targeting | Opt-in, eligible inventory, demand and reporting, plus deductions and payment terms |
| Premium Network | Live reads and host endorsements from its top 250 creators | Selection, creative approval and placement, plus campaign terms and exclusivity |
| Podcast Pros | Creator account tier with premium ads, branded content, and marketplace optimization | Account qualification and the separate Advertising Agreement |
The marketplace lets advertisers build campaigns and target by genre and location, plus keywords and audience demographics. Premium Network buyers can select shows and hosts, and Audioboom lists attribution technology plus dedicated account management.
Audioboom says Triton Digital and Voxnest, its ad-serving and advertising-data partners, are certified under the IAB Podcast Measurement Technical Guidelines version 2.1. That statement applies to the named partners. It does not say Audioboom itself holds the certification or that every metric attached to every campaign has been certified.
For broader context, our guide to how podcast advertising works separates the seller and buying route from the creative, delivery method, measurement, and payment.
The dynamic marketplace path
The Audioboom hosting page says Standard and Plus accounts can monetize through the marketplace. At the time of review, Standard allowed up to 15,000 monthly downloads and displayed a price of $12.99 per month or $129 per year. Plus allowed up to 50,000 monthly downloads and displayed $24.99 per month or $249 per year.
Those plan prices and limits can change. They are hosting terms rather than estimates of ad earnings. Audioboom does not publish a guaranteed fill rate, CPM, revenue amount, or time to first campaign on these pages.
The dynamic marketplace currently describes connections to more than 2,000 brands and international sales providers through a programmatic ecosystem. Its advertiser-facing claims include more than 8,000 podcasts and over 250 million available monthly impressions. It also claims more than 30 million unique users. These are Audioboom's current marketplace claims, not audited results for an individual show.
Dynamic insertion lets the system place eligible creative into available inventory according to campaign rules. Targeting can narrow which listening events qualify. Revenue still depends on demand, the impressions counted under the agreement, applicable rates, and deductions. The host-read versus programmatic guide explains why marketplace access and a host endorsement should remain separate rows in a monetization plan.
Premium Network and Podcast Pros cover selected opportunities
Audioboom describes Premium Network campaigns as live reads and host endorsements from its top 250 creators. Buyers can select a show and host. That path involves the creator's voice or endorsement, so campaign suitability and approval matter in ways they may not for a pre-produced dynamic spot.
On the creator side, Podcast Pros is positioned for established podcasts and independent networks. Its listed features include live reads, host endorsements, branded content, marketplace revenue optimization, higher-volume hosting, and support.
Podcast Pros is an account tier, not a guarantee that every listed ad format will produce a campaign. The dynamic marketplace is a separate route. Keeping those labels intact prevents a creator from treating one route's availability as proof of another route's eligibility or demand.
If you are comparing sales channels, the podcast sponsorship marketplace guide provides a checklist for application rules, creative control, reporting, commercial terms, and payout timing.
The Advertising Agreement carries the missing terms
Audioboom's current public terms say users with more than 50,000 plays per month should contact the company for a customized account and separate Advertising Agreement. The hosting page uses monthly downloads for plan limits, while the terms use monthly plays. Creators should not assume those units are identical.
The terms say that when an Advertising Agreement conflicts with the public terms, the Advertising Agreement controls. They also state that Audioboom's permission to add ads to creator content applies when the creator has opted into that agreement.
Public pages do not disclose one universal creator revenue share, CPM, minimum payout, payout schedule, fill rate, or guaranteed route into Premium Network campaigns. Ask for these items in writing before building an income forecast:
- the gross revenue definition and creator share;
- all platform, sales, production, payment, and adjustment deductions;
- the impression source and measurement window, including the treatment of invalid traffic;
- reporting timing, invoice rules, payment schedule, and minimum payout;
- creative approval, category restrictions, placement, and exclusivity;
- cancellation, underdelivery, make-good, and termination terms.
Audioboom's terms allow account termination for automated false traffic or artificial content and say earned advertising revenue may be forfeited. Outstanding monetization payments can also keep an account open until payment is complete. Cancellation rights and advertising liability may be governed by the separate offline Advertising Agreement.
Build a forecast from account terms, not marketplace scale
Start with inventory you can document. Record eligible episodes and positions, then note back-catalog rules, geography, and campaign format. Then add account-specific demand, rate, creator share, deductions, and payment timing. Leave any unknown field blank or model it as a scenario rather than borrowing a marketplace-wide claim.
Keep downloads and plays in separate columns from impressions and listeners. Audioboom's own pages use more than one unit, and each can answer a different question. Our podcast analytics guide covers source definitions, while the podcast CPM guide shows how to match revenue with the correct impression base.
A creator evaluating Audioboom should confirm the hosting tier, marketplace opt-in, and eligible inventory. They should also confirm the campaign format, reporting source, commercial split, and payment terms. The signed Advertising Agreement should settle the fields the public pages leave open.
Start with Podder Analytics to maintain the audience and episode record you can bring to any advertising conversation.
FAQ
Can every Audioboom podcast use the dynamic marketplace?
Audioboom's hosting page offers Standard and Plus accounts the ability to monetize through its dynamic marketplace. Access does not guarantee campaign demand, filled impressions, a particular CPM, revenue, or payment. Confirm opt-in status and current account eligibility inside your account.
Does Audioboom publish its creator revenue share?
Audioboom's public hosting, advertiser, marketplace, and terms pages do not state one universal creator revenue-share percentage. The applicable split, deductions, reporting basis, and payment timing may appear in the creator's separate Advertising Agreement.
Are all Audioboom ads host-read?
No. The dynamic marketplace uses ad insertion and targeting, while Audioboom's Premium Network emphasizes live reads and host endorsements. Podcast Pros also lists branded content. The format and delivery method should be confirmed for each campaign.
