The main Dashboard shows a rounded all-time figure at a glance. Audioboom gives the example of 10,287 all-time listens appearing as 10.2k. That rounded display is useful for orientation, but it is not the detailed reporting view.

Open Analytics when you need the underlying date selection, episode ranking, listener estimate, location, device, or platform breakdown. Audioboom's Dashboard Overview explicitly directs users to Analytics for detailed listening data.

When you record a result, include:

• selected date range
• UTC as the analytics timezone
• metric label, such as listens or estimated listeners

What counts as an Audioboom listen

Audioboom's IAB 2.1 measurement guide states three practical rules. A request must fetch at least one minute of audio to count. Requests are deduplicated by user agent and IP address over a 24-hour period. Downloads from Apple WatchOS are excluded because of duplicate activity between a watch and an iPhone.

Audioboom also provides an estimated listeners metric for date ranges of one month or less. It uses IP address and browser information. People sharing one connection can appear as one listener, while one person using several devices or networks can appear more than once. Treat it as an estimate, not an exact headcount.

Read the date and episode views carefully

Preset periods make recurring checks quick, but custom ranges must fall within the last 365 days. All Time is the better choice when you need the broad historical total. Estimated listeners disappear for ranges longer than one month, so a missing estimate can simply reflect the selected period.

Top Episodes can be searched or sorted by title, creation date, or listens. Before comparing releases, give them the same opportunity to accumulate activity. A lifetime total naturally favors an older episode. Use a common date window or similar episode age, then note any promotion, feed change, or release interruption beside the comparison.

Some audience fields also have natural limits. Audioboom says Age and Gender are based on US survey data and may be absent when the volume or location of listens is insufficient. The public documentation does not promise a general dashboard refresh or processing time, so do not invent one. Keep host delivery separate from app engagement

Audioboom measures qualifying requests for the audio it hosts. Apple Podcasts and Spotify can observe listening behavior inside their own apps. Put those results in separate reporting fields:
