Blubrry's Podcast Statistics FAQ says its statistics services update automatically every six hours, starting at approximately 1 a.m. Eastern Time each day. Standard Stats users can manually refresh between those automatic updates.

That means a test download or new release can play correctly before its activity appears in the dashboard. Record the test time, wait through the normal processing period, and refresh once. Replaying an episode many times does not create a cleaner test and may be filtered under the provider's rules.

Keep the update schedule separate from the measurement window. Blubrry's methodology says it measures unique downloads using a fixed 24-hour window based on anonymized IP address and user agent. It provides hourly episode-level breakdowns and monthly aggregation at the episode, show, and account levels.

A six-hour dashboard update tells you when processed data may become visible. The 24-hour measurement window tells you how Blubrry identifies unique activity. They are not the same clock.

Understand what Blubrry counts

An embedded-player stream can count as a download. Blubrry's FAQ explains that web players commonly retrieve audio in chunks through progressive downloading. Its system identifies those chunks and counts them as one download instead of treating each chunk as a separate event.

Blubrry also publishes technical statistics requirements. It says at least one minute of audio must be available within the first 2 MB of the media file to be recognized as consumable. Lifetime totals favor older episodes. Use the same post-publication period for every episode in a comparison, and keep the metric definition stable.

2. Expand the date range and remove an unintended filter.
